Making an original ordered pendant top part1

On today and next upload,
I am going to report how to make an original jewellery.

This time, one of very fashionable customer
has ordered to set his favorite opal from Opal Direct
into his own "COOL" silver pendant.

This is the Loose Stone that he selected from Opal Direct.
We have introduced this beauty on the other day in here.
Solid Australian Boulder Opal 2.05carat from Queensland.
What a sparkling colour it has!!!!

Then, this is his pendant head.

We want the opal to sit on it like the picture below.

How the jeweller work on them!?
Would it be perfect!?
Would the opal sit nicely on the pendant head!?

I will report how it ends up next update!!!!
So don't miss out!!!

Heat up Ethiopian Opal in microwave!?!?

Have you seen a page of

This page is one of very popular page on
Gemstory's website and there is a gentleman,
Mr.Ben, living in USA,
who was inspired by the page and made the
same experiment, but with an Ethiopian Opal.

The origin of  Ethiopian Opal is volcanic
so that it has a high water content.
Therefore, it should be protected from heat and
prolonged exposure to strong light, which could dry it out.

Mr. Ben heated up Ethiopian Opal in microwave
in his experiment.

As a result, Mr. Ben has reported
“It fractured into thousands of little pieces・・・・”

When we heated up Australian Black and Boulder Opal
they didn't change their colour or any condition.
Many people think that Opal needs to be avoided
in extreme heat or needs to dip in water occasionally
to keep its best condition, but this experiment has
approved that you should not be sensitive about it.

On the other hand, Ethiopian Opal contains higher
percentage of water. So when it comes to Ethiopian Opal,
you should be more sensitive about heat, dryness and lighting
to avoid drying it out.

Australian Opal is very stable and you don't need to
 be worried too much!!!!!

(I'm not saying that Ethionpian opal is bad!)

Everybody has a different taste,
some people might like a milky colours or
fragility of Ethiopian Opal, or some people,
like me, love a stability and vivid colours
of Australian Opal.

In the end, I'd like to thank you to Mr. Ben for
reporting such a great work!!

See more experiments???

Beautiful semi-precious gemstone's...

Do you know how much time & energy does it take to create something 'really special' ??!!?

When gemstones are found underground, susually they're in the 'unique & natural forms' like here... Some are clean, some are not, depends on how one's naturally compound or where they're from.

Then, it's up to the gemstone lover / dealer to decide what needs to be done next!! Will these beautiful gemstones be introduced in the natural form or are they going to be cut & polished before they're exposed to the market...

In our business style, we normally prefer to have these gems cut & polished, that way we can show the "TRUE QUALITY" without having to take our own risks... and it's easier to use them to make beautiful items like here...

Gold Coast is wonderful and shining like our beautiful opal products today!!!!

Play of color on Black Opal

As you might know,
opals, especially Australian opals, have "play of colour".

Each opal can change its color depending
on the lighting or the way you look at.

If you see 100 stones of opals,
you can find 100 different colours from them.
This is the main reason why opal is so unique
compared to other gems.

So, here it is!!!

On this Black Opal, you can see 2 completely
different colours!!

I took a picture from above.

You see so deep green colour, like the Earth.

Then, let's take a look from the front.

WOW!!
I changed the angle just a bit,
but its colour has ovbiously changed!!

Now, from the side.

Blue, but not the same as the picture above.
I guess it shows a strong and bright blue!!

Again, only Black and Boulder opal from Australia
can show this interesting play of colour.

Did you enjoy its beauty??

You can see more to visit Opal Direct website.

Enjoy your day!!!

Red On Black

Have a look at this video on our You Tube channel!!!

Solid Australian Black Opal from Lightning Ridge

It's rare to see such a RED!!!!!

If it is a ruby, it should be called a "pigeon red"
to express it's glowing appearance.

If it is a coral, it should be called a "oxblood red"
which means a top quality of all.

If you are looking for a fire opal
by expecting like a Mexican "fire" opal,
you will be even surprised
due to its dark and bright appearance.

A true top quality red opal or fire opal
would have a really vivid red colour
 on the black body tone.

Yes, we call "RED ON BLACK".

Wooooo, it definitely takes our breath away!!!!

A Double Face Black Opal

Good afternoon!!

 A new collection of gorgeous,
high-quality  genuine and precious Black and
Boulder Opal has just arrived at Opal Direct.

Today, I would like to introduce you
one of my favorite piece!!

In fact, it is a double face (reversible) opal!!!

So let's see on the other side of it.

Wow!!!
This Australian Black Opal has a completely
different pattern on the other side!!
means, you can enjoy 2 types of character
in one piece!!!!

Having 2 faces means it has a really deep oparized area
therefore colours it's showing should be very strong and deep.

Moreover, with the dark body tone like this Black Opal
kicks the colour rather than with a milky body tone.

It's a quite good deal, I have to say...

In the end,
when someone pick up this opal and consider
to make a jewellery with it,
the designer and jeweller will help to make some sort of
special design, to see both side all the time.

Enjoy more of this beautiful blue-green Black Opal???

the world's finest opal retail & wholesale
 company from Australia :)
Have a lovely afternoon.

OPAL EXHIBITION FOR VIP BUYERS !!

Just completed an exhibiton yesterday.

Here is a sample image of our 'SPECIAL ACTIVITY' besides selling in retail space & selling online...

We arrange, organise and set-up an exclusive exhibition for the VIP TOUR from time to time!!

Do you know what exhibition is like? It is a special arrangement which several companies or several opal dealers'd organize their potential customers (buyers) to a VIP ROOM, and allow the customer to see & touch our beautiful Black Opal & Boulder Opal collection all at once, in one place.

How can that be possible to get organized?

Well, an opal dealer like us, who carries a large range of 'QUALITY STOCK' can only make the exhibition like this possible... Not only the quality or the large range of stock will be necessary, but the trust, reputation & communication skill is also crutial to make it happen & successful !!!

Please don't hesitate to seek for our help if you'd like something like this to happen in your area.

the birthstone for June

Do you know what is June's birthstone??

Yes, it is a PEARL.

So today, I would like to talk about Pearl.
Pearl is a hard object produced within the soft tissue
(specifically the mantle) of a living shelled mollusk.
Just like the shell of a mollusk, a pearl is made up
of calcium carbonate in minute crystalline form,
which has been deposited in concentric layers.

Pearl is the birthstone for the month of June
as well as for the zodiac signs Gemini and Cancer.

Eastern cultures believe that pearls symbolize
purity and spiritual transformation.
Simply wearing a pearl reminds the wearer
to be honest, pure, wise, and to walk
with the utmost dignity.

Here is some idea of pearl and gemstone jewellery
from our online shop, bijew.

Makes you feel happy and lucky to be a ‘woman’,
this is something that any girl would like to have
for any occasion. Pearl is a symbol of ‘innocent’
and Watermelon Quartz, the ‘love stone’ will catch
men’s heart, for sure!

Cool and feminine Bacelet. This design will
go for both man and female in any generation.
Amethyst is symbolic of "Safety" and "Peace",
Lapis Lazuli is known to strengthen awareness
and creativity. Moreover, Pearl is good for "Long Life"!!

Feeling like wearing a pearl jewellery now??
